The Cooper City High School Student Government Association (SGA) is the official student leadership organization responsible for fostering school spirit, service, and collaboration across campus.
SGA organizes and executes major CCHS events such as:

Fundraising & Service Projects

Campus-Wide Unity & Culture Initiatives

Community Outreach

Leadership Training & Conferences
SGA members serve as representatives of the student body, working closely with administration, class sponsors, and staff to improve student life. Members develop skills in leadership, communication, public speaking, teamwork, event planning, marketing, hospitality, and project management.
Students may grow into specialty roles including décor, logistics, marketing, photography, social media, and more. SGA also participates in district and state leadership organizations and conferences throughout the year.

Must actively participate in SGA-sponsored events and initiatives

Must demonstrate responsibility, professionalism, and leadership qualities

Must campaign for a Class Officer position (for SGA class participation)

SGA Class Members & SGA Club Members must purchase annual membership dues at the start of each school year

If students do not wish to serve as a Class Officer, they may still join SGA as a Club Member and participate by attending monthly meetings
Class Officers must go through an additional selection/interview process and uphold higher leadership expectations.

SGA Club:
Students who do not wish to become Class Officers may join the club and attend after-school meetings on the first Tuesday of every month -
SGA Class:
Students enrolled in the SGA class participate in daily leadership responsibilities and year-round school programming -
All members—club & class—are encouraged to volunteer, take initiative, and contribute to campus culture and events

SGA Club: Meets after school on the first Tuesday of each month

SGA Class: Meets during its designated class period
